Y. Alicia Hong, PhD

Professor of Health Services Research · Department of Health Administration and Policy · College of Public Health, George Mason University

An expert in behavioural interventions working at the intersection of health services delivery and consumer informatics. Her work explores chronic care and self-care solutions built on digital technology, with the aim of improving patient-centred outcomes and making care more reachable.

Since 2007 she has served as PI, Co-PI or Sub-PI on more than twenty large extramurally funded research projects, published over 120 peer-reviewed articles, and presented at more than 150 academic conferences. She has served on expert panels for NIH, NSF, HRSA and WHO. She received her PhD in Public Health from Johns Hopkins in 2007, and was a professor at the Texas A&M University School of Public Health from 2007 to 2019.
